Stefon Diggs Send 7-Word Mockery Statement To Josh Allen For Claiming To Be The MVP

Stefon Diggs got sweet revenge in his first game against the Buffalo Bills, as the Houston Texans beat his former team in a dramatic contest at the NRG Stadium on Sunday. With the win, Diggs and the Texans improved to 4-1 on the season.

The Texans were seemingly set to hand the Bills a blowout loss as they led by 20-3 midway through the third quarter. However, quarterback Josh Allen and his team scored 17 unanswered points to even the scores at 20-20 and had ball possession deep in their territory with a minute left in the game. However, the Bills inexplicably called three pass plays before punting the ball away, leaving just enough time on the clock for one play for C.J. Stroud and the Texans to shave some yards off and get within kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn’s kicking range. The veteran then hit a career-long 59-yard walk-off kick to win the game for his team.

While Stefon Diggs did side-eye Allen for a fraction of a second, it’s unclear whether it was a look of malice and disdain or a moment that only looked sinister when frozen in time. Only the wide receiver knows the true intent behind the look he gave to his former teammate.

Stefon Diggs stats: Veteran WR’s impressive outing vs. Bills

The 30-year-old may or may not have a grudge against his former quarterback and team but he was keen on having an impactful outing against them on Sunday and did not disappoint.

Diggs finished the game with six catches for 82 yards, his second-most prolific game as a Texan. After star wide receiver Nico Collins suffered a hamstring injury in the first half and was subsequently ruled out of the game, the veteran stepped up to fill in as the first option in the passing game and delivered. He finished the game with more receiving yards than all of the Bills’ wide receivers combined (82 vs 76).

While he did not find the endzone, he was critical in helping move the chains and setting up convenient scoring opportunities for his teammates.Stefon Diggs hasn’t had the most impressive start to life as a Texan, but he will be hoping to build off this performance and become a key contributor in the passing game in the upcoming weeks
